OVERVIEW

ASP Gallery is a web based image gallery application. Backend by Access database, ASP Gallery can store thousands of images in categories. Each image is displayed with name and description. You can customize ASP Gallery for the look and feel of your website. ASP Gallery is an excellent add-on application for your web site. It is designed to be a complete ready-to-use image listing. You just add your images. Start posting your images online and attracting more customers to your site by using this application.

SPECIFICATIONS

ASP Gallery is an easy-to-use ASP-based Image Gallery which can be completely customized to seamlessly match your site's look and feel:
- Utilizing Microsoft Active Server Pages that can be tested and hosted on any Windows-based PCs and servers
- Unlimited categories with image counter
- Unlimited images with full description

- Uses LightBox image enlargement. Just click on the thumbnail and larger image open overs the page.

ASP G allery comes with a Web-based Admin panel, you will be able to perform all of the following:
- Password-protected Admin panel
- Pictures are resized into thumbnails on the fly
- Fast image uploading
- Add new category, delete existing categories
- Add new images, delete existing images.

REQUIREMENTS

- Windows Servers with MS Internet Information Server 4.0 or later
- CDONTS mail component
- .NET Framework or one of other Image Upload components
- Internet Explorer 4.0+ or Netscape 6.01+

- ASP 2.0 or later

By downloading this application, you are required to read and agree with the Free License Agreement for End User.

SET UP

After you unzipped ASPGallery.zip, you can either rename Gallery folder to something else you prefer such as "links" or "directory", or you keep its original name as Gallery.

Finally, use an FTP program such as CuteFTP to upload all files and folders to your site server.

If your site domain is yourdomain.com, and you do not rename the original main folder Gallery, and you upload this whole Gallery folder to the root of your site, the URL to your Gallery front page is:

http://www.yourdomain.com/Gallery/

The URL to Admin is:

http://www.yourdomain.com/Gallery/admin

The default Admin account is

Admin ID: admin
Password: password

Login and you will be able to change the default password to something else.

Basic customization of the existing layout can be done very quick and easy:

To change the logo:
Create your own graphic image in the design and colors you like. Size should be 800px wide x 130px high. Name it and save it as Logo.jpg. Copy it and paste it into the assest folder overwriting the old logo file.

To change the footer:
Open the inc_footer.asp file and change the necessary information and background color to meet your requirements.

To change the menu items:
Open the inc_menu.asp file and change the name of the menu items and the background color to your requirements. Create a hyperlink to the appropriate page in your web site root folder for each menu item.

To change the menu item colors:
This application is customized using Casscading Style Sheets (CSS). Two such sheets are used for this application. They both may be found in the assets folder. They are:

home.css - controls the actual style on the application pages in both the user and admin sections
style.css - controls the actual style on the inc_header.asp and inc_footer.asp files in the main folder only

To change font type, size, color and link color simply edit the appropriate section of the style sheet(s).
